14,000/7years = 2000/year.. so that's a light rider.. and like everyone always replies when someone asks about pricing a bike.. check the tires for dryrot/wear/tear, start it up and let it idle for like 10 minutes or so then check it for leaks, make sure the turn signals/4-ways/hi-lo beam work, make sure there's oil in the oil tank (probably before starting it up, haha).. if it all looks good, $9500 is a fair price, i'd still off like 8250 and work from there. THen once you get it, you're going to want to change the oil in the primary/tranny/motor and maybe forks anyways..though forks is optional.
Pipes, rear rack, floorboards, brake pedal.. Nice! Great two tone paint combo too! lol
Ok, if it were me, and realize I own an 06 Fatty, I would save and spend a little more $$ and get a later model bike with 6 speed, 96" and most importantly hydro chain tensioners.
If you truly love the bike, then no go for it. After you work the price down a bit of course 06's are nice, have the later style heads and the longer rear fender that looks great!
Hmm based on the craigslist pricing.. I cant touch this bike in my area for under $12k ASKING price... so I was gonna give him full price.. I may rethink that based on your comments..
also.. what you think it would cost to go all black on this bike.. Im not partial to these colors but thats just me.. I didnt know the floor board and brake pedal were ugraded.. man I got a lot to learn.. I do know the rear sprocket is chromed which is nice..
and in my area an 2007 on up.. right now way out of my reach.. $9500 is my absolute max.
I'm with Kuma, unless you love the bike, I would think for 10K you could get an 07 or newer.
If it was 8K, I would say jump on it.
Right now I have everything the way I want it on my 06, but I am now looking at a 2K Baker 6speed.
The cost of the Tranny and cam tensioner upgrade is a cost I would not of had to worry about if I just bought an 07.
Also.. what does it mean that the intake cover says screaming eagle.. could it JUST be the cover?
Okay here's a question that wasn't asked, or maybe I missed it.. is it Fuel Injected, or Carb'd? If it's EFI, it may have the full stage 1 intake on it, therefore, they put a "Screamin' Eagle" insert in to the football cover to show it.. though maybe they just liked that insert. The insert itself is like $14.
Just becareful with the 2007 model year.. I've read that it's kind of a "bastard" year where HD did several transitions on certain things, but i don't remember what.. might want to do a search on it.

Its EFI.
I've asked a lot of questions so I wont ask him tonight.. perhaps tomorrow.. hmm.. bastard huh? I like it already.
So far I cant touch a 2007 close to this.. but it doesnt mean if I dont hold out I wont be able to... so cam tensioner upgrade.. everything I read says people get way too excited about this.. have you checked yours? its not hard I dont think.. 6 speed.. I assume you want more overdrive? Is it vibrating on you on the highway? is that the issue?
