I think La Rosa has some cool features and ideas that look different. If the craftsmanship is not as good the price shouldn't be the same though. They should be cheaper, but they probably get the job done in the looks and function department. I agree though, drop the price for the mass production stuff. Guys are capitalizing on premium prices for not so premium quality material.
If you want truly non mass-produced...go with Garage Leathers.

I hear ya bro... I went with leatherworks small left side bag. Let's see how that does. It was reasonably priced and decent craftsman from what I can tell. Not sure how good though. We'll see tomorrow.

I have a La Rosa. They have some nicely designed bags, too the quality isn't as good. Mine is fairly new and has barely kept it's shape. I'm going to firm it up a bit somehow and see how that works. If it doesn't, I'll toss it and get something else.
