Nope. They do the same job as the ones out of the HD catalog. I had a set (from eBay) sitting here waiting to get installed, but I decided the Shotgun Shock was a better for me, so I ended up giving 'em away to someone on here.

They're fine, been running them 2 years now. Bit of a pain to install, shock needs disassembly which requires a press, or a homemade version of a press. Or your local shop can install the bolts on the shocks for a few bucks. Look into the collars from DK as well, been getting some good press in here for ease of install.

Well, if you're handy and can press the shocks at home then it's not worth it. If you don't want to be bothered, then get the collars. Your local Indy will prob charge about $50 to press and install the bolts, so if you plan on doing that, the extra cost is a wash anyway and you save a bit of headache removing the shocks.

I have the bolts. Not a thing wrong with them. If I had to do it over, I would spend the few bucks more and get the collars.

The bolts are fine if you have the tools and ability to disassemble your shocks and don't mind removing your shocks first. If you're looking for ease of installation and don't want to remove your shocks, the collars are definitely the way to go. They are super easy to install and you can go either 1.5" or 2" to suit your preference.

You can find the kit here:

And we are offering $5 off to you as a forum member. Just use promo code: hd5bucks when you check out on our site.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys!

I have the bolts but I dont have a press. After brainstorming, I ended up jacking my van up and slowly lowered it onto the shock to compress it, worked great. I have it as low as it will go and have purposely hit bumps to see what would happen and have been very pleased.
