No fuses blown. Have voltage all the way to the starter.
I don't have my book with me and honestly haven't studied the wiring diagrams enough to answer this question but it seems like any MAJOR short to ground has a fuse to blow to protect the battery. Wouldn't the main fuse blow on a short to ground?

Went completely through my cables and wiring harness. Found nothing out of the norm.
my 01 EG was doing that exact same thing last week.. it was a loose battery cable. everything worked fine till i hit the starter button, then it arced with a pop and acted like a real dead battery, turn off ignition and it would reset. check all the connections and i bet it will fix the problem. a bad sticking solenoid could do it, but not as likely.

The battery is around 2 1/2 yrs old. Always been on a maintainer. Does not drain with lights and accessories on like i've seen with bad connections. It will pull the solenoid. Just loses it after that. I am going to add a battery to my list.
