FL springer with 21" wheel question

Default FL springer with 21" wheel question
so i know a lot of you guys have put a 21" wheel on your crossbones or other FL springer and it seems none of you has had issues... but does anyone know why the service manual for my xbones says to NOT put a 21" wheel on it? are there handling issues or is it just HD covering themselves in case of a lawsuit or something? anyone know?

Just put a 21" on mine. No handling issues. Won't fit under the fender though. Also, it raises the front end up about an inch or so. No reason I can think not to.

i like the 16" wheel, but i think the reason i keep wanting to change the rear fender is because it makes the back end look so much bigger than the front end. shadetree kit would fix that, but the girlfriend likes to ride... so i think a 21" wheel would do the trick, plus it looks badass fenderless

Did this yesterday, already has over 100 miles since. The ride is pretty much same, just feels a bit hevier and a little more stiff.

You know HD, its all about pass'n the buck. Go for the 21 and enjoy the ride !!
