I got my bike back yesterday. We lowered the front 2" and rear 2". We also put a 7* rake. She is running like a champ!

Here's my initial install thread. Pics do not show the bike with the front end lowered. Bike handles just fine, if not better than with the 21" that was on before. Turn in definitely feels more confident and road deviations are soaked up a bit better as well.
Could u please post one pic of the bike with the front end lowered that's just the look I'm looking for I can't find a night train with stock rake and lowered and a 23 I will b for ever in your debt

So, whats the stock degree rake of the trees?

Have you noticed a difference in handling or any other difference since the change?

Ive always wanted a 23" up front and my bike is already slammed to the ground as you can see. Its on the bump stops in the rear and progressive drop ins in the front.

Good thread guys, I've been doing a lot of reading and research on the same topic over the past year or so because I'm going to be going to a 23'' wheel up front this season. jcallesano, don't quote me on it but as I understand the stearing head angle on the train is 32 degrees and I've heard conflicting reports about how much rake is built into the stock trees. Some sources say 1.5 degrees, some say 2. I've put measurements into rake and trail calculators online that also ended up with conflicting results with regards to the topic. I'm going to be going with the HHI Bomber front end on my train. After exchanging emails with HHI they assured me that going with the 5 degree trees and a 23'' wheel up front on my current setup would keep my trail measurement closer to 5''. Hopefully some of the other guys want to wigh in and this helps to some degree. Cheers

I took mine to 0* offset trees. Tracks true into triple digits. Plus the wider front is great in grooved, beat roads.
