I am currently riding
a Street Glide but i also like the Softail Deluxe. I am looking at an 05 with 12k miles on it. What should i look for in regard to common problems with this year or other years that the bikes have? Are 05 EFI or carburetor? Help with any ideas you may have on the Deluxe.

Had an efi 05, I am looking for a Heritage I ride an 09 Ultra and would like a 2004-2006 Heritage to lower and solo seat it... a toy to play with. I would ask if the cam chain tensioners have been replaced or plan on doing it if you get one. Then enjoy the ride!

Thanks for the info on the cam chain. Good one to ask.
Also ask about the valve seals. In the process of replacing mine now. Was using a quart of oil ever 1K miles with only 11k on the bike. Some leak, some dont.

Im also replacing my Cam tensioner shoes too, at 11k miles, they also need to be replaced.
