Dang it, I have to learn to get pics w/GOS everywhere I go. I was just at Laughlin yesterday 1 mile away from Davis Dam.
Funny you mention that because that's where that picture came from.
I took a long ride last year and came upon this nice "rest stop".
Thinking how picturesque it was I thought "that scene would make a nice challenge"...
Well, since I used that picture, next up, your bike in front of a dam...
Not just a small earthen levee or a spillway, I'm talking about a large, concrete structure for water control or power generation... and as always - w/GOS
So I went out riding basically all-day, but it would appear that this
one's gonna be tough - all the "access" to good photo shots
with the bike are restricted now (basically no access since 9/11).
I couldn've gotten several "spillway" shots, but none on or with
the dam in the background...
This one will be easy for me if it lasts until tomorrow afternoon. I know of one about half an hour away. Unfortunately, I have to work tonight and wouldn't have time to stop by it.

Well it was a tossup between this or a photo of your bike in front of someone's house with their Christmas lights still up.
Every neighborhood has one of those...

The dam is out for me... could have probably snagged the lights tomorrow... if it wasn't supposed to fuggin' snow again. There's one that is lined all around with those icicle lights still all lit up. Not sure I could manage to park the bike in a safe location and get both it and the house in the shot without the snow bank blocking one or the other.
Good to see people getting back into the swing of things again. My OL finally got to get out for a short ride today for the first ride with the Shotgun Shocks we installed between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This here's a hollow concrete dam. The powerhouse is gone but it was built for hydroelectric and served as such for many years. A Japanese energy company still has a lease on the property and get's everybody wound up every 10 years or so about rebuilding a generating station here.

It's "Glasses" on seat, not "gloves" on seat! Unfortunately this one will be disqualified on a technicality
