The Texas Renaissance Festival starts here on Oct 11th and ends Nov 30th.
Still a while away. Lots of Octoberfests coming soon. Any garlic, strawberry, or squash festivals out there?

We've got Persimmon, Dogwood, and catfish festivals are the first ones I think of. Those cover the nearest towns in three directions from me.

We had a kocache festival a couple of weeks ago in a town 120 miles away. Only one day though....A Polish festival was done a few weeks agoin Houston, too. We have a great Greek Festival the first weekend in October. Fantastic food...

The day the challenge was posted, Cheese Days was going on here in town. I'd have been glad to get a photo, but... see the issue I had when making the previous challenge:
... and I still feel like crap.
I would have liked to have knocked down that challenge, but I couldn't find the motivation to go anywhere for any reason at all, and especially nowhere that I'd encounter 100,000 drunk people yodeling and eating fried cheese while surrounded by cows.
Gonna be one of those "a shower, a Valium, and skip the dinner and head for bed" nights for me, I think.
