Welcome and Congratulations Dude. Also, Boy I was glad to see how your little story ended! As I started reading your original post the very 1st thing that came to my mind was, " I bet this guy will be sorry he bought a Sportster"!!! But of course I never would have said that, thats rude and no one else's business BUT, that is usually what happens to most people after they bought a Sportster. I do not say that because I do not like Sportsters or that they are not a good bike but it is rather small, especially a guy like you WITH a better half! That thing would have beat you guys to death on a good day. The 1st Harley I ever rode? A 1969 Sportster in 1970 when I was 13 so it's not like I don't like them. You can just do so much more with the bike you now have and be 10 times more comfortable. The bike you have now is an excellent platform to do all kinds of good and neat stuff with too. The possibilities are only limited to your own imagination and the thickness of your wallet! Enjoy Dude, life just got much more fun for You, Your wife and your kids too. Good luck and PLEASE, JUST WATCH FOR PEOPLE IN CARS DRIVING WHILE TEXTING AND PEOPLE IN CARS WHO REFUSE TO LOOK FOR MOTORCYCLES.
The whole damn family at the Harley dealer sitting on the new bike... just plain cool.
Congratulations on your new ride.
Our family loves hanging out at different dealerships. I will have to say, Cool Springs HD in Franklin, TN has got to be one of the best dealerships I have ever spent time at. They went well above and beyond anything I ever could have asked for. I felt like not just a buyer, but a part of a HUGE family. The kids had the best time, which is by far the most important part, and I didn't feel taken when we left. And yes, that Slim is one BAD ARS bike. Just tooooo low for a guy like me. Plus a price tag that made me re-think my occupation.lol
Hey anyone else notice that "White" Slim on the left? I've never seen one in white. Looks cool . . .
Good eye...that one was actually cream color with some cool dark smoke accents in the paint on the sides. The paint scheme was too awesome. I think they actually have the same scheme in the new HD parts catalog for 2013.
