Well, I had an awesome deal on a 2011 Sportster XL883L from my neighbor with only 46 miles on it. I paid $5000 for it. After putting about 250 miles on it I came to the conclusion that it may have not been as good as a purchase as I had thought. Only because I'm 6'3" and 200 lbs, I felt like a giant on mini-bike. It just wasn't comfortable for me so I made the switch to a 2005 Heritage Softail Classic FLSTCI. Now this is a comfortable bike and can ride for days without a single back ache.
Congrats! Now throw mama on the back and ride the **** out of that thing!
Yeah that and put the kids in the saddle bags, save you buying a sidecar, nice looking bike and the what looks like a nice looking Slim in the background.
Congrats on the change up. I'm only 5'10" and I feel cramped up on the wife's 08 883 Low. She loves it but I can't ride it much more then around the block to check things out for her.
Congratulations. We went from an '06 XL1200C to our '12 Heritage, for the ride not the size, I'm only 5'8" so they both fit me well.
When you get the chance you might look into getting the Shotgun Shock air suspension system as you think the ride is good now just wait until you have the shotgun, you wont believe the difference like riding on a magic carpet with out the carpet. Enjoy.
