Not surprised at all
I think this is the part number
70900274
Be careful with that....the 70900274 is for OLDER models that have a 4 pin data connector under your seat...they DEFINITELY DO NOT work on a Breakout...found this out the hard way...you will receive "NO CAL" errors on the speedo and your electrical will be all jacked if you try to use this one, it will show you in neutral all the time and the right turn signal will be on solid on the control panel...I almost blew my stack when it didnt work as I was afraid that my dealer wouldnt allow me to return it....but he did let me exchange it...so now my next one is on backorder til who knows when...
The Breakout I BELIEVE uses 70900100B which I have now ordered and is on back order....it has a 6 pin data connector on its data cable to calibrate the speedo to my ECU (ie put the current mileage on it)
However, the Breakout CVO uses 70900275, but that is a LOT more expensive (375 I believe is what the girl at the parts counter found...)
I hope everyone is as throughly confused as I was trying to figure out what one goes on a standard Breakout!! LOL Almost sorry I didnt get a Dakota Digital, except mine was bought with a gift card I got from the dealer for being a Marine....
So I got the Speedo (70900100B) today and can verify it is absolutely the correct one for the Breakout...LOLOL...talk about reviving a thread from the dead....was ready to forget the dang thing and get store credit for something else....that was one LONG wait!!!
I just installed mine today. Note it will not display the stored colors until after you ride it the 31 miles and locks the speedo to the VIN 2 min to install 1 hour screwing around to get colors to show. But a cool unit now that all is good.
I have the same gauge but my night train is a 2007, not one hundred percent sure on the model number but once married to the bike mileage and everything worked fine. picked mine up at the local hd for 235 but I get discounts from them
That combo definitely is on my wish list, too. But as I will not have my Breakout running probably until end of March I still have some time to save my $$$.
