Well I did buy it, as the price was right.
I have 250 miles on it as of today and most of the popping is gone. I do sometimes get some burbling on decel but I would think that is somewhat normal.

I understand a little decel popping. But this bike I am speaking of is popping several times during each shift point and is very noticable. Very excessive in my experience.
I had a fair amount on a stock Slim.
After a Stage 1 remap, it was much worse.
I added the ViEDs and tweaked a bit to find the sweet spot, now the decel popping is gone.
I would bet that because he would start it and run it enough to put a bit of heat in it but not completely warmed up, the exhaust flanges loosened up and there is a minor leak at the head. Introduction of a bit of fresh air at that point will most certainly cause decel pop.
There was a guy by me that wanted $16k originally, then $15k after a couple months for same model year and same story as yours. He wanted a out the same price as a new 2013 from dealer that had 2 year warranty on it. I paid under $13k for my 2011.
