Default Transmission clunk
My sportster had this same issue when changing gears and my heritage is doing the same thing, it doesn't do it all the time but most of the time, I have tried different rpm's but that doesn't help. Is this normal?

It is normal. Sometimes is clunks sometimes it clicks. But that is only when I hit 1st gear. Maybe your clutch needs to be adjusted?

Mine clunks in almost all gears, almost all of the time. At least I know it's going in gear. Still, it doesn't seem right.

I get the clunk going into first letting me know I'm in gear and ready to go. All others it clicks into gear.

Since my bike is new and only has 280 miles on it maybe it will break in later I don't know. The clutch seems fine.

Clunk is normal. Mine does it when going into first when cold. After it has warmed up the clunk disappears.

mine does it in all gears, cold or hot.
