mis-matched tires& mileage.

f 22 junky, if you run that tire till you see threads keep a close eye on it, it will wear really fast. ran an avon venom to where i just seen threads and within 15 miles i had the bike parked till new one was in. thanks to all who posted

A dealer in my area would not mix a Dunlop SE 180 rear with a Dunlop Elite 3 front with same tread pattern. He said the SE was stickier & would cause unsafe handling characteristics. I had been running this combo before needing a change, seemed to me to handle fine even in sharp twisties.

Dont overthink it the dealer wants to sell tires to make moeny so thye will alwasy recommend and push two tires they may even suggest safety concerns as that usually makes motorcycle riders cringe. You can mix tires and so forth just be sure they have good tread good sidewalls and good pressure.
