Default Shotgun Shock for solo ride?

Planning on getting my Breakout as soon as possible, and I am gathering info for my mods. I am new to Softails, had a few touring bikes.

Is the Shotgun Shock recommended as just a replacement/better ride?

Or is it really for two-up, OR to lower your bike to look cool ?

Never will be 2up, and not sure I care to lower the rear.

But if the shock is crazy-good for a better solo ride, then I'm in !

Anyone have a rough cost for total parts and install? Is it hard to install?

Thanks

It will ride a thousand times better 1 up or two up with a Shotgun Shock.

The ride will be the BEST you ever had, period!
Contact JD at WWW.Shotgunshock.com and he can tell you all you want to know about the cost and the install of the SS.
Since you are in SoCal just have JD install it for you.
Nice guy to deal with and you will get a tour of the SS factory, too.

Hey Thanks HogPro. I see that they are out in here in CA. I wonder if they do installs too? If they are near me, I would love to ride to them and ride home in style !

Thanks

I ride solo and it allows instant adjustment for road conditions.
I already had a J&S bike lift and box end wrench for the shoulder bolts, so installation cost me nothing.

JD includes shrink wrap for all the connectors.

I got mine through Drew when he was at now closed DR. V-TWIN.

I usually ride solo and at normal height. The Shotgun gives the smoothest ride possible, but then I can slam it when I park for looks too.

There have been several members that have gone right to JD's Shop and had them installed. Best to contact him and set it up.

I am ordering my shock on Saturday. But won't do the install until after Aug 10th. Can't wait for the new better ride.

edit:
Ok, Talked to them. They are great. They are in South El Monte, about 25 min from my house. And they do installs while you wait ! This is great.

Thanks folks for the assist and advice.

I will be taking my bikes here for sure. Gonna get the Breakout soon, and then have a buddy ride the Roady, and get them both done in one day. NICE.

He says the Roady shocks are a month out. No prob.

Got to love HDForums !
