I'm thinking about getting an HD LED headlight (7") for my 08 Fatboy. Does anyone know whether the extended chrome headlight trim ring (in my pictures) fits with those headlights. I know there was a note in the catalog about not being compatible with the nacelle and I thought I read a post on The Forum stating even the stock trim ring was too large and the headlight rattled. Any info is appreciated before I blow the $$$.

Yea, I found that you can't pop it over the lens, because it sticks out straight
instead of being rounded like the incandescent lens. But what I did was cut a slot in the trim ring to be able to push it straight on, and then rotate it back straight up. Just cut the slot offset from straight up then rotate back straight up to match the screw at the bottom. The slot is hidden behind the lens and this makes it a lot easier the access lens when needed. Don't know why this wasn't the original design? You just have to remember that this is how you get the trim ring off and any one else that has to access your light.
