Has anyone had any problems with the trim rings on the headlight with the sunpie led headlight? I bought the replacement mounting ring, but the trim ring doesnt fit properly. I have an 07 electra glide.
Just installed a set of these today, The screw for the trim ring was too small and I didn't have anything close here. I managed to find a clip nut and that worked.
Yea that was the same problem I am having. And then the visor style ring isnt fitting right either. It sets too far back for the visor style ring to get around it.
I have a headlight visor and after I was able to tighten the trim ring down it was good. Because I have a ornament on the visor I may add in some 3m tape underneath to stop it from rotating due to vibration.
I have a 2000 ultra and was thinking of using the sunpies. is it the ring that came with them or are u using the oem ring. how do u like the lights so far?

Using the Sunpie ring with the only problem being the ring screw not tightening until I added a U clip. The lights are bright and look great but it's too cold for riding.

I had the same issue with the stock trim ring screw being to small to attach to the new mounting ring. Went to a bigger screw and Loctite and it worked perfect.
my aftermarket one never fit right, so i used my OEM ring and cut just out the center out, everything fits perfect now
Same here. Didn't like the way the Sunpie trim ring & adapter fit (headlight stuck out a bit) so I just took a good pair of aviator snips and trimmed away the OEM mounting ring & bucket till the headlight fit in nice & flush and can use the stock trim ring. Looks & works great! Can't beat the price for all 3 lights...I expected a bit of modifying at that price.

So you trimmed out the bucket and now the lamp fits flush like the O.E. headlamp? Do you have any pics ? I have considered changing over to a LED headlamp but I don't want it protruding past the trim ring or having to use frenched rings.
