2013 softail deluxe advice
Found a local repair shop that I have been talking to and I like the guy. I think that i can trust him with my bike anyway. He is going to do the first service with all syn lucas products for $225. I then started talking to him about a stage 1 setup with V&H big radius 2 into 2, big sucker. I asked what tuner he recommends and he tells me that the only one he uses and has for the last 5 years is the thundermax autotuner. He can do all of the tuning there and said there is no need for a dyno until stage 2. All of that including labor would run around 2000.
What do you guys think. It is alot of money but i only want to spend it once.

The Thundermax is a very good tuner, my indy uses them a lot and swears by them and a friend runs 2 bikes with them. But if all you're going to do is a stage 1, you don't need to be spending $900 on a tuner though. Stage one won't do much for your performance, you might want to think about going directly to stage 2 with cams, especially if you only want to spend money once. Which is pretty impossible, once you take this step, it's a dark hole
