Default Softail issue

Look closely at the seam. The discolor is a small oil leak from both cylinders. The mechanic said this is the 3rd one in 2 weeks. He's trying to convince HD to replace the engines but HD's fix is to install a thicker O-ring.

I did benefit from this though. The mechanic knew I wanted to do cams at a later date, he said he'd only charge me 2 hours labor (vs 6) if I do it now bc HD is paying to tear down most of the motor already. I was bringing the bike in for warranty on the oil leak plus the 1K service, VH 2-2 pipe install, SE Breather install, tuner and dyno. So the pipes, breather and 85% of the motor tear down will be covered under warranty.

Mine did the same thing. 2013 Deluxe, the seepage stopped after putting some miles on her. Search this forum for seepage from cylinder blocks and you will find several post about this.

Default seepage

Same here. Took it by and we cleaned it. Will monitor it as I put more miles on it. Only 550 on it so far. Rather ride it and hope it takes care of itself than tear down a new motor. I figure its under warranty either way.
