In the OP's defense, I have seen in here where a few have had to re-seal that plug at the rear of the cases because of oil leaking, soooo...

If the seal was bad enough to let water drip in. The pressures inside the crankcase when running would force the oil out in a big greasy flood.

and yet another reason not to wash your bike...could void your warranty. washing a bike with only moco approved products by an authorized dealer is the best way to ensure that it is done properly--gotta keep them porters and wash boys busy!

Hey with some of my past experiences with Harley this may not be too far off the mark.

I am one of those guys. But there is no way water would get in in the amount the original poster was discussing. My seep was from either lack of sealant or porous aluminum at the crank pry hole. A little green loktite over night and all was fine.

Remember, not everyone has years upon years of riding experience and the new guys may have "off questions" now and then if in fact he is a new guy. This question is a tad off but it is what it is. My bike HATES water, runs like **** after it gets wet and thats if I can even get it started, but to my knowledge it has yet to soak any water up. Watch for oil leaks Dude. If and when you find one of those thats when you need to worry about water getting in it, if then. If you ever have another "off question" you can always send someone a private message and ask someone there to avoid the shellacking you will take for asking those "off question's" in the 1st place. We have all seen some "doozies" asked here, this one might top that list but it's all good.

I don't wash my bike, so I've never seen this happen. But I agree...if water can get in, oil can get out. It probably evaporated or ran off.
