Default Heritage Bars on Deluxe

Has anyone else made this swap? Looked but wasn't able to find any pictures. Did it require anything to be lengthened? Brake/throttle/wires??

I'm guessing you're going to be about 3" short.

I probably should have clarified that I'm also planning on replacing the stock pullback riser with a 1.5" shorty, so that should help me cause as well. Were you guessing 3" short with the stock riser? If so, replacing it with a 1.5" will likely buy the 3" I would need.

You should be ok with 1.5 inch risers. I installed Heritage bars with 1.5 inch risers on my Softail Standard and had no fitment issues with stock cables.

I took Heritage bars off my Deluxe for my apes. The cables were NOT stock if that helps.

When I put new bars on our 08 Heritage and 08 Deluxe I found that all the stock cables were the same length. So providing the 13s are the same you should have no problem.
Personally I think 1 1/4 bars look better.

You should be fine with that riser switchout. I have Heritage bars on my Deluxe risers and use 2" over Heritage cables. Looking at a few different charts Heritage cables are 2" over Deluxe, so losing the inches on the risers should give you enough length in the stock Deluxe cables..................I wouldn't think a whole lot of slack though.

Made the swap today and everything worked just fine. In fact I could probably put 16" apes on and still use the stock clutch cable. Thing is a mile long. Here are the pics.
