Slim - recommendations for inner tubes?
With nearly 6K on the clock the rear is getting close to the wear bars, and even though the front still has plenty of meat left it's showing signs of cupping
..(which might explain the occasional faint wobble on certain roads).
I think I'd feel better with a matched set of fresh rubber anyway.
I'm probably going with a set of the Michelin Commander II's for both.
But what about tubes?
For whatever reason they're not even mentioned in the service manual...
I was looking at the Michelin Ultra-Heavy Dutys, but this vendor that I plan on buying the tires from doesn't carry these in 16's...
EDIT: Oh and I plan on using DynaBeads instead of wheel weights, if that makes any difference...
Can anybody recommend a good set of tubes?
The dealer carries them for around $35 each, but I'm sure I could probably do better for less...

I put on a new set of Commander ll's last fall and after 4k I have made up my mind I Will NOT buy them again.
They are not wearing as good as the stock Lops I've used for the first Four sets let alone their claim of 2x the wear.
The only thing I do like about the Mich's is they do better on road Tar snakes when ridding straight.
But I have found out in the last month of Hot weather that in a turn that has Tar snakes, they are NOT. In fact they felt soo loose that I though I flat tire or something really bad had happened to the bike
I know my next set I will prob try a set of LOP's Tourning Elites. or go back to the orginal 402's ft and 401's rear.
As far as tubes, my Indy that does the tires, checks them out. If they still look good they re-use them once.
So far every tub has lasted for two tires, then on the 3rd tire they put on the install a new tube.
I'll add I average a new Rear tire on Yearly and new Front every-other Yr.
If U dont put many miles on Ur bike I'd replace the tubes if they were 3yrs or older every time.
Also I'll add, a HD dealer prob wont re-use a tube and U'll have to buy new tubes every time.
.
I put a MC II on the rear of a Dyna I had last year but I never got to use it.
I traded the bike only 5 days later...
