Things I like
- 110 motor (goes without saying)
- Painted frame and paint work (especially the white and blue one) but its lacking
something.See below
The not so good
- Wheels, plain and simple they SUCK (would have been better off just using the chrome
profile laced wheels
- Bags suck (should have went hard bags).I understand you would have some exhaust
fitment issues. But its a 30,000 softail figure it out HD.
- Lack of chrome fender trims,Deluxe symbol and no tombstone taillight.( To me these all
add class and heritage to the Deluxe)
- Paintwork doesn't look finished because of above reason. Would look much better with the
chrome trims IMO.
- Last thoughts. Price seems very high for what you get. I am not sure why anyone would
buy this over the CVO Road King which is cheaper. Would have really liked to see some
nice wheels. But like I said the profile laced would have been a better option. Devils
advocate maybe it looks better in person.
Yeah I was considering trading my wifes 05 Deluxe on a CVO for her till I saw them. Biggest let down from the CVO lineup. Whats up with all the weird colors schemes?
Here is a stripped down version that looks a little better but it is blurry too, lol. But this side is hiding those funky wheels. I just think they blew it on those wheels for this bike and should have went with a 21 inch wheel. I don't know... I am trying hard to think it's ok, but I am having a hard time coming to the conclusion that it is cool bike. Just about every stock deluxe that puts on minimal mods looks great. This bike has a bunch of stuff on it and it just looks ok I guess. It's just not put together and really doesn't look classy like a Deluxe usually does. On this color I do like the brown leather on the bike and the bags with that brown leather is ok... but that's about it.
HD not only missed the mark on this one, they're not even on the darn paper.
Deluxes are simple and elegant. They keep a bit of nostalgia going too.
The FLSTNSE is ugly as sin, the paint is gaudy, and there is just a hodge-podge of crap thrown at that bike. Let's not forget that all the nostalgia is gone too.
Sorry HD, but you can't throw WWW's on a bike and call it classy.
the wheels are ****, they are straight out of the 1980's, they look like chrome wagon wheels
as for the comments, should've gone with a 21 up front, keep dreaming, the SG just got a 19 from the factory so that would have been as big as it gets, and probably would have looked great
