Got my new wheels in, and while I was at it got a new headlight.
Roland Sands Diesel in Black Ops. 21x3.5 up front and 18x3.5 out back, wrapped in Avon rubber. Bike handles so much better now than when I had the stock 21x2.15 up front, its a completely different bike. Waiting on my RSD fender brace, and Accutronix extended foot pegs for my forward controls and that'll be it for me for this summer!
Here are the pics of my bike with my buddy's Nightster. The first pic is my new headlight with the old mounting block that was too far forward, so I replaced it with the stock HD one that puts the light right in between the forks where it should be (new mounting block in 2nd and 3rd pictures).
That was definitely the right choice in wheels for your bike. Good choice! If anyone is looking for these wheels let me know, I can save you a fair amount of money over retail.
Thanks guys, was going to rock the RSD Fender brace but after talking to some local LEOs about the legality of running no front fender, I'm just going to stick with the RWD front fender I'm picking up tomorrow from paint.
No legal issues with that here in CA. Just gotta be prepared to get wet and debris flying all over the place. It does look great with no fender on your bike though.
