Default Softail Slim Stall

My 2012 Softail Slim stalled twice on the way home from a 120 mile ride. The engine is the only thing that went out. The RPM gauge suddenly went to zero and I was able to restart immediately -- without having to depress the Run switch again. I was in 5th gear both times, rolling about 50 mph.

I saw that there was a recall on Softail's for the same problem in 2011. Anyone else have this problem or know of a recall?

No codes. The engine just goes off. Lights, gauges, etc. all stay on.

I know it's probably not the answer, but it sounds exactly like what happens with crankshaft position sensor on a car.

Wierd. My softail works perfectly but I am having the exact same problem on my Ducati Streetfighter. But it is happening all the time. Going over to the shop after work to see if they have come up with any answers. i think it is running lean. They told me I was not rolling off the throttle smoothly enough A...holes.

My softail did same thing when new. It's IAC sensor or speedo sensor can't remember. Take it to HD and run it for codes. Those symptoms should be obvious to them.
