Question Does forwards on Slim = more lean angle

I really dig the retro look of the Slim - IMO it's the best looking bike since the Bones. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the lack of cornering clearance.

So my question is, would switching from footboards to forward controls gain you any more clearance? Or is the overall lowness of the bike too much to overcome? Thanks for feedback!

I put forward controls and extensions on a Fatboy I had. It was lowered and the first thing to rub (just like my Bones) was the floor boards. After that, other stuff like the kick stand were the first thing to rub.
