Interesting that everything works good in my bike without anything added. I see in their site that some softails need that adapter and the fatboy doesn't. But it also says that the dash light will flash fast and mine doesn't.
Here's from their website.
"(2011 - 2013 Softails & 2012-2013 Dyna with Canbus do not require a Load Equalizer, Turn Signals will flash at proper rate, however indicator light on dash will flash faster than normal when both front and rear turns signals are converted to LEDs)
2011-2013 Softail Blacklline and 2012-2013 Softail Slim, and 2013 Breakout will require Part Can-Adapter when converting rear turn signals to LEDs."
One key difference is that the FatBoy has a dedicated rear center brake light whereas the Slims, Blacklines & Breakouts do not.
The Slim, Blackline & Breakout rear turns serve all three functions: run, brake and turn.
I bet that's the reason...
I did a write-up while researching this issue myself - see page #3, post #24. Softail Slim - need wiring help...
Apparently the wiring harnesses are more or less generic across the entire family (Softail) line, but on certain models some wires remain unused, such as the dedicated brake light wire on the models mentioned above...
My 2011 Fatboy LO with Custom Dynamics Led signals front and rear gets the fast blinker indicators but the signals them selves blink at the normal rate and I have no codes. I just got used to it and the fast flash on the dash don't bug me at all.

Try the 4-way trick...
It can't hurt, and it might work.
Got nothin' to lose by trying.
I just finished relocating my front turn signals after installing a MS batwing fairing and had the same issue. I tried the 4-way hazard reset and all is right again. Thanks for the tip!
