I own a Harley heritage softail 2012 ,can If I remove the baffles out of my slip ons will it effect anything except for the sound,i wont have to retune anything will I ?i'm running with the baffles in right now. any help would be appreciated.
you do 1 or the other.. intake or exhaust without a tune.. so yes you can remove the baffles or knock 'em out.. I've run a 2004 Heritage and a 2010 Fatboy without baffles.. though the Fatboy ran a little hotter because of Harleys being "lean"..
You can get larger baffles from Rush. I run 2 1/4" baffles which are 1/4" larger than the header pipe. My tuner says I am losing 3hp and 3 lbs. of torque running baffles larger than the header. You can also remove the fiberglass wrap around the baffles to change the sound. I have ran without baffles and even if you don't mind losing the torque it sounds like a tin can.
I've run the Rush slip ons without baffles or tuning and it ran fine. I hope you like loud.
I've since added intake and tuning and still running fine without baffles. I actually ran intake and exhaust like that w/out tuning for a short while (meaning a few days, no longer than 2 running hours) with no issues. It did run a lot leaner and hotter though. And popped a lot on decel.
I've had many compliments asking what pipes I'm running.

If the 12's are the same as 11's, the cats are in the muffler. I would install a pair of Rush slip ons for about $300 and take care of it.
