Default Help please with weird starting problem

Hi,

I have posted my problem on "electrical/ignition" forum with no luck. So here I am again...

I have a 2009 Crossbones with Vance and Hines Short Shots (with quiet baffles and smartpartz baffles, RSD air filter, and having troubles starting up my bike since 4 weeks. The problem is intermittent (one every ten times or so). The bikes cranks normally but doesn't come to fire up. After it cranks without starting, the ignition pump loads automatically again. What I recently notice, is that using the throttle while it cranks helps to fire it up.
I went back with stock pipes and stock air cleaner but the problem persists.
If you have any suggestions, I'll appreciate any help!
Thanks

does it start hard when the engine is hot, or does it not make a difference, if it only does it when its hot , might be your coil going bad

Thanks for your answer.
I have had trouble with my previous nightrain starting while hot.
With this bike, the crossbones, it's when she's cold. In the morning or when I start her up in the afternoon after she sits for a whole day....

Is it showing any codes? It might be your throttle position sensor out of adjustment or your temperature sensor...

I don't think this is your problem, but a common one is the starter relay...it is in the fuse box, it's small and only costs 5 bucks...mine failed twice which is a pain, so I keep a spare in my tool kit. Mine started to go on when you were already going...not good. Hope it works out.

No codes are showing!
Tracker56, you may be right. If it's the throttle position sensor or temperature sensor, are there any risk of damaging the engine? Any risk of having complete breakdown?...I would hate calling for a tow truck...
Thanks! I really appreciate your help
