Just got the Chrome Wind Deflectors installed on my 07 Heritage. Tight freakin' fit. Once you get fed up and throw caution to the wind, you can get them on. They willbe tight up against the back of the turning signals on the 2007s. Once all bolts tightened up, you can grab the deflectors and torque them off of the rear of the turning signals. The close-up of the pic on the bottom of page 1 of this post isn't how they will look on the 2007s with the turning signals moved out in front and off of the handlebars. You have to switch them around - I guess Harley knows this and that's why they don't show you the orientation of how they fit properly. ****-poor instructions - they don't show any pics of the wind deflectors - only the windshield and mounting brackets. You have to figure it out on your own.
I hate my windshield but I wouldn't ride on the highway at 70 mph without it.
I can't believe somebody hasn't come up with something better looking and better areodimanics.
But then that's just me.

1st test ride with the Softail Chrome Wind Deflectors on a 2007 Heritage Classic.
Pros:They actually work. The helmet buffeting over 40mph isall but gone- no more headaches on longer rides. There is a very large dead spot now between the rider and the windshield; I believe I could smoke at highway speeds if I really wanted to.
Cons: 1) You have to force them on to get them on a 2007 Heritage Classic due to back of front turn signals in the way.
2) Not sure how they've changed the wind dynamics in front of the bike but in a short ride todayI hit more bugs, butterflys and such in 20 minutes than I did over the last 5 weeks. Hopefully it's just a fluke but before you could see the bugs having the sense to try to avoid the windshield when they could. Today it was almost like there was nothing they could do to get out of the way. Any bug in front of the bike splattered the windshield. Strange...but I have a full bottle of the HD bug wash spray and it works great - and it's better than a headache from buffeting...for now.
3) I've heard the deflectors make the bike hotter since you're reducing the airflow over you, in particular the heat coming up through the seat - I didn't notice it today but wasn't out for long and it was only about 87 deg.
I had bad helmet buffeting with my Heritage Softail Classic, even after I trimmed the windshield so I was looking over it and not through it. Several threads on this forum mentioned the lower wind deflectors from Harley, so I bought a set, about $70 if I remember correctly. They were a genuine pain to install, but once they are on, a big prybar quickly solves the clearance problem with the turn signal lights. They work perfectly. Buffeting is completely gone. They work so well I wonder why everyone with a windshield doesn't have them.

That definitely looks better than the stock Harley one,but I was a little concerned about how much it actually does.
Other than knock it off your chest.

I did notice this, a little more heat coming up under my legs especially when I had my feet up on the highway bars.
I installed the "Kuryakyn Saddle Shield Air Deflectors" and Iâve only gone for about 100 miles, but it seems to work great so far. My Harley parts guy said they would. I bought them at my local dealer.
I put the chrome deflectors onfrom HD. I had them on the bike for about a half an hour. Couldn't stand to look at them any more. I'd rather put up with the buffeting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2004 Heritage and need to know which way to mount my deflectors . Is the top part pointing out or inward ? Sides bent kinda back or outward ? Anybody got any pictures on an 04 that may help me see how the look up close ?
