I have just added a second bike to the fleet here at our home. It belongs to my wife and she couldn't be happier with her purchase.

She has been riding for 2 years now and I started her off on a 1984 Honda VT700 Shadow. She started complaining that she wanted a shorter bike with more power and then she would ride more. So I found a 1982 Honda V45 Magna 750 and she rode that for a year. This year she put on over 1k and rides every day. The year before she was lucky to do 500 miles.

Well I challenged her with the Magna to ride more and if she did I would get her a nice bike. Well we where not really ready to buy but his gem came up. So the new addition is a 2001 Harley Deuce EFI with 9k miles. Basically a nice stock bike that spent its life being used on weekends.

So now I get to lurk in both forums for the touring and softail.

Excellent. The warden currently has an '86 Virago 700. Plans are the same as you did. Congrats!

LMK when she's ready for a new Street Glide and you're ready to sell it!

Nice colors on that Deuce. Congrats! First thing to do is put a lowering kit or shocks on it, bring the back end down an inch to cover the tire.
And yank off those reflectors.

I bought a 2005 Standard in the States & brought it back to Australia to sell. 4 months later I sold my other Japanese cruisers and kept the Harley after one ride & I was hooked ....

Enjoy the bike!
