That thing has definetly scene better days. I've got the Leatherworks bag as well and highly recommend it. It's held up great for 3 years now. I put some electrical tape on the frame under the straps to keep the paint from rubbing off. Also, as scene in one of the above pics, it can rub on the corner in turns when loaded down. I put another piece of leather, like a patch, on the front corner to protect it. Good luck!

[QUOTE=SoCalSoftailSlim;11817759]Swingarm bags are really useful and look great on Softails. Glad you are excited about it.

Here's a few I've had on my bike. Right now, I'm running the one in the first pic. It's just really practical to have it square, I find. The other looks a little cooler and I still have it cuz I think I may go back to it one day.

After seeing your square bag I installed one on my Deluxe. First thing I did was drag the board and check to see if the bag was scuffed; came away clean. Good stuff there.

Said it before...say it again. Garage Leathers...hand-made...not mass-produced crap.

Mine is 5 years old and looks even better than when I bought it.

I bought a used "like new" Harley bag on EBay for $55 last year. I used zip ties instead of the straps. No complaints.

Finally bought my first bag for my bike. Unlike most members I never liked the look of a lot of bags on a bike but im realizing now I need some kind of storage so I got a garage leathers swingarm bag w/ brass buckles. I passed up on harleys and la Rosa, mainly because of some much good I heard about garage (rather than bad things about the other two). Waiting to receive it, and if anybody wants I can do a review when I get it.

I think you'll be happy. I've been running that same bag on my Slim for the past season. The only "complaint" I have with it is that it's small, being only 3" deep. I can get a light jacket and a pair of gloves in there. My OL is running the 5" deep Leatherworks bag on her Lo, which is actually almost too big - she's had to restitch it from dragging the back corner, and there's reinforcement there now as others have mentioned above. If this bag came in a 4" deep model, it'd be perfect. It is superior to the Leatherworks bag, which is also very nice. From what I've seen in the small sampling of LaRosa's products (3 or 4 pieces that other people have), they don't hold a candle in terms of quality.

All that said, I don't carry much anyway, and it JUST serves it's purpose. Mostly, I wanted something that I could carry a little something in, and looked good and added something to the overall look of the bike. Something had to help balance and fill the void ahead of the plate which is now on the axle and forced to be displayed horizontally in this state by some asinine law.
