The Garage Leather is thicker leather than the Leatherworks and cost more, but I'd give it the edge quality wise over the Leatherworks. Either is a great solo bag though.
I've got both bags too, funny I find just the opposite's true. Must depend on
the severity of the winter on how thick the hyde was at the time.
