Kill switch is not turning off the bike

No a blown or shorted bulb will not cause this. Have the dealer check it
But if it isn't doing it at the time he looks at it he won't be able to find it.

And sometimes even if it is,, they still can't find it..

it seems to have fixed itself. I booked it in at HD for Wednesday so I guess I might as well have them look at it since it's still under warranty.

That typically means that the bike is not ready to stop riding as soon as you are.

Just a hint my hd mechanic passed on to me...Mine failed and he had to replace it. He said it is better to leave the EMERGENCY kill in the on position and use the key switch to start/stop the bike. Use the kill switch in case of an emergency. Good luck.
