OK GENTLEMAN ALL I CAN SAY IS "THE LEGEND LIVES " I sent the shock back. inclosed in the box was a printout of the e-mail conversation i had with JD about the issue with the shock. i also included my card (i manage a heavy equipment repair shop). when he opened the box, he called me. we discussed the issues i was having. first he said basicly nothing about my bike could cause the issues i was having. according to JD he has refined his design to account for those types of issues. his real concern was me and the problems i have had. so he told me he was going to send a NEW one. i received it today and it was not what i expected. i expected a NEW SHOCK what i got was a new complete shock kit! all the harnesses,compressor everything! I deal with these situations everyday at my job and with 30 years experience i have never come across any manufacture that would have done the same. haven't installed yet but i have to say that JD is an old timer. his word is as good as his handshake. you don't find that anymore. We're in an age where the bottom line comes first but not with him. he has earn the "legend" status as far as i'm concerned.

If recognizing a good guy that stands behind his own, hand built, product 100% makes me a cheerleader, then pass the pom poms Sally. J.D. is the man and his shocks are rad.

 

If 90% of those who have spent the coin to get a SS become cheerleaders then that should tell all the naysayers something about the product.

 

That's just it, if you say anything good about it even once, the naysayers think you're a cheerleader... go figure...

I have been lurking for awhile on this post and I finally had to say something.
I'M A CHEERLEADER!!!!!

How many products out their are never modified during the production process?

JD is constantly refining the SS, now that's NOT to say it was flawed from the beginning but over time a great product can be made better.
When JD installed our SS he stated to me that ours had the new compressor, this was last year, because the earlier one did not put out as much pressure/volume as the new one.
This shows me that he is constantly looking to improve his product, instead of the other manufacturers who only look at profit and production and NOT the customer.

So as stated at the beginning of this post, I'M A CHEERLEADER!!!

 

I can look back a 1 1/2, 2 years of where I highly promoted JD and his product. You can also look back and read all the **** I took for it too. Hey, it's cool though, I am one of the "original cheerleaders" and never been sorry I was. I don't so much anymore but only because so many others do it now I don't have to so much. I also ONLY did it because JD was a stand up Dude as well as a great product. Mine still works ****. I play with it all the time and it still gets ooohs's and ahhh's everytime I take it out, no matter where I take it. The other day at a light the guy next to me at a light beeped. He had to be in his mid 80's. He said he had been riding Harley's since WW2 and he has seen few others as pretty as mine. That's when I smiled, nodded and dumped the air and slammed it for him as the light turned green and I drove off. He sat about 1 car length behind and beside me and he just watched and I could see him smile the whole time in my rear view mirror until I drove out of site. My Shotgun Shock made HIS day too, not only or just mine!!!

 

SHOTGUN SHOCK cheerleader here!! And when I get my money right I'm gonna put his bagger shock on my Streetglide!! SHOTGUN SHOCK...anything less would be uncivilized!!
