Odds are in favor of sas I'll give you that, you're the one one on the forum that has one.

I think the OP has a point. I don't care how great the features are. If I had to pull it off and send it back 3 times in 3 years, have my bike down for 2 weeks, pay shipping and insurance, I would be very disappointed in the product. Plus I would not be able to trust it for a long haul trip that might be ruined due to a breakdown.

The trust factor on a trip is big. You can't exactly tote your stock shocks with you.

That said, I recall thread here where JD overnighted a part to someone's hotel when they got stuck. That's service. Of course, the person was still unexpectedly stuck, even if was rectified as quickly as possible.

Notimeleft i am the OP. as an owner of the SS i will tell you this, after owning one you will never go back to the oem shocks. i do advise you if you are on the fence about buying the SS to call JD. He can answer all your questions and clear up any misconceptions you may have. i consider what's happend to me the exception not the rule. and as you can see many people haven't had any problems. i have complete confidence in the product. as a matter of fact i rode up to the smoky mountains, maggy valley area this summer from Florida and never did it enter into my mind i would get stuck or the SS would fail. i am expecting my shock back soon and i'll be on the road again.

Even if it completely failed on a ride and it was all the way lowered you would just be riding on the bump stops. It would still be rideable, not like you would be stranded on the side of the road waiting for a tow. Might not be the most comfortable ride, but you could get home or to a shop for a fix.

Do you put 20K miles a year on your bike? The OP does, which is the exception, not the rule (I WISH I could put 20K on my bike a year but there is no way).

Also, there are many that put many, many miles on their SS and have no problems so like Fatty95 said, I think he has been the exception.

And like others have said, once you ride with the SS, you will never ride with the stock shocks again.
