Ty very much. I am new to riding and just purchased my first bike. Thus far i have tired to make the bike my own in terms of customization. I think the blackline would love wonderful on my bike. Trying to go for a black and white theme. Again, thank you very much for the info.
recently got a 2018 fxbr. re-located license plate to sissy bar, installed slip-ons. can't get any handlebars or some other add-ons. how long before they make parts available for this hot rod?
Thanks to the advice from MoneyFor, I got my blackline console completed this weekend. I made my own bracket so I didn't have to replace the top plate. Just took some 1/8" scrap plate steel and made a tab, tapped the holes, and installed new console. The extra money that I didn't spend on that stupid top plate, I used towards a flush mount gas cap. Turned out nice I think.

Sweet, exactly what parts did u order to get this mod done.
Best regards mike
Isn't 60900001 the top plate and that's the part I don't need if I make the bracket u did.
Mike, that's correct. I just posted that for you since that's the FULL list of parts if you want to do it without making the bracket. But yes, the bracket isn't difficult to make if you have a little bit of fabrication know-how and some scrap steel. I used some 1/8" thick scrap steel plate from my truck bumper. I just cut it to fit and tapped the holes. The tools I used were a grinder with cutting wheel, bench grinder to clean up cuts, tap set to thread the holes, and some flat black rustoleum. I have a big bucket of random bolts from various projects so I just found 2 that had the same thread, cut them to length, and used them for my bolts. The hole separation is 1 inch from center. It's crazy to me why they didn't just use the same top plate, OR engineer the dash to mount in the same way. You'd think they could save money on part production by doing that...but who knows...
And here's some more pictures of the new dash...it looks soooo much better, IMHO. Maybe because my bike is black, but I just think it dresses it up nicely.
