Front sprocket change
Sorry I don't remember anyone with a 5sp.
I do remember a member that changed the front on a 6speed couple yrs ago..
U have to be really careful and Do Ur math real good..
Seems I remember he dropped two teeth for faster acceleration
Afterwards he complained his bike was running WAY to many RPM's at 70mph,

Just put an Andrews 34 tooth on my '02 Heritage a month ago. Like it a lot better than the stock 32 tooth, I feel it should've come this way from the factory. I installed it myself so it took me twice as long to install as what the shop quoted for shop time. Ended up chop sawing a standard 1-7/8ths socket in half and welding in a piece of pipe to make it a deep enuf socket to get the pulley nut off. Also just used a piece of brass stock put between chain and compensator as a chain lock. Pretty straight forward if you do the job yourself and lots of how to info online. Well worth the time and $$$ IMO.
First felt much better. I always felt the stock gear ratio's were too steep. 5th is also way better. 75mph now feels like 65mph used to. Haven't checked my mpg yet but I suspect it's going to be better too. Shy of looking it up, I think Andrews claims the final ratio goes from 3.150 to 2.916 with the 34 tooth which is just about the same final ratio as the newer 6 speeds. Only problem I see with it is that I didn't do it sooner!
