Is this their $12. harness to set up for run?? I really am torn, do I want the light on, when bike is just on?? IE running. I like the looks of the side lights only and was just thinking that this would inhance the brake and turn signals and replace the reflector on the fender. Or would this make it easier to install?? I also have abs so I am not sure if wiring is different for the brakes, looked at wire diagram and looks as if may be different. Have You or Harley have experience with this??
I am also torn between the tank mod. Some are saying it looks better black on a red bike. I was thinking of getting it Black Smokey Chrome. I know you have a red BO and have done it to your bike in black. What do you think of the looks of a Black Smokey Chromed Tank Mod ?? By the way no stealing my idea. I know its MY Chose but every opinion counts. I now have BS chrome on the Derby/t-covers.
Bottom line is do I need the Harness for $12. to make install of light easier?? Need to order all Ill need one time.
The way the light comes you can wire it for run/brake or run/turn. But not all 3. If you want to wire it for all 3 you need their harness. You could also make your own harness with parts from radio shack, but theirs is cheap enough it is likely worth buying.
As far as black chrome, you aren't the first one with that idea, it just hasn't been completed yet. I personally like just regular gloss black on my bike, but every bike is different. If you are going to do the Blackline dash in black chrome, you might want to do some other parts to tie it in.

That is not the way they describe it on their web site. Unless I misunderstood, I get the impression that it works Brake/Turn only unless you get their harness which gives you Run/Brake/Turn. So same question do I need the harness? It sounds like I don't.
Black Chrome on Derby and T-cover now so I think it will blend in, just need to find $ and who to do for a fine job.
Holy **** you guys are outta control on this fender light. Attached are the items I purchased with the directions. I won't be able to get this wired until April as I'm headed out to sea for a few weeks (US Navy) but once I get back 24v and myself are gonna wire this up using a custom made harness using HD parts (first pic) to avoid splicing into factory harness. More to follow but hopefully this will tame the wild beast in some of you!

You only the harness if you want all three to work (Brake/Run/Turn). I just did a quick test with the light bar with the three wires and it only did turn signals (I only tested one side since I only have two hands). I believe, unless my testing only one side of the turn signals screws up the concept, that the LED and the 3 wires coming off of it that it only does turn signals, no brake. I'll mess with it more when I get back from breakfast.

I am not sure how much simpler I can explain it. Looks like Harley_Charley has done a better job.
