So I was at my local dealer talking about exhaust and he made a comment about the BigRadius 2 into 2 that it was an OK exhaust but that it sounded tinny. Any owners of this exhaust or anyone with first had knowledge care to comment? Yes Ive listened to them on Youtube but you really can't hear them that way. Just looking for opinions. Thank you!
I have this exhaust on my breakout and does NOT sound tiny or small... love it... loud and deep
Thanks for the reply....was it night and day difference with the sound? He said simply by changing the pipes it'll be 4x louder...that seemed a little extreme
I think they do have a very slight tinny sound when they are new.
It's not horrible but i could hear it.
That said after 26k miles mine don't seem to have that tinny note anymore.
I can't tell you when it went away though.
If your comparing it to a stock exaust it sounds 20x louder to me in a good way actual decible numbers i have no clue.
tinˇny
ˈtinē/
Mine are not tinny, ..... quite loud but not too loud for me - maybe I'd add the quiet baffles one day if I decide that its too loud, but the pipes will stay.
Just changed mine to the matt black, and liking them even more - finished the install this afternoon and took it for a test ride - looks, runs and sounds great.

Even though it seems like everyone is running these, I still think they are one of the best looking pipes out there, especially in the black ceramic finish. That said, and it looks like I'm in the minority, they did sound a little "tinny" when I had them on my bike. Maybe not so much tinny, but more of a rat-tat-tat raspy like a two stroke. Nowhere near the deep and low sound I was looking for. The best sounding pipes in my opinion are the Rineharts.
I have the big radius on my B.O as well ... I also have the big city thunder Quiet Quality baffles up inside aprox. 7 inches and I also cut the stock baffles in half and put them back into the ends of the pipes as per advice from another member and it is perfect .... nice and deep tone ... Fuel Moto provided me with an updated map for my power vision and the bike runs like a top now ... no decel popping at all ....
