Thanks for the info
No splicing the wires were long enough to get from the battery to the lights.

VVME digital slim HID on ebay. I used 880 lamps for the aux.
How did you get the dual HID ballast-to-bulb wires from the ballast into the passing light housings? The hole in the lower bolt is way too narrow to accommodate the two ballast wires (let alone the large fittings on each end). Got some close-up pics?

I had to drill the aux light to make it fit, I'll take a picture in the morning.

I have used LED on my other bike, and was very bright, and very inexpensive.
The HD LED headlight. It was a simple plug and play. No thought process involved in installation. It can be seen in my sig. I got the black one.

Blue lights (really obvious blue) are easily absorbed into wet asphalt. Not good at night.

You can get a white HID light...or just about any color tint you want. It depends on the light temperture you chose. My HID is excellent at night, has great coverage and is very noticable. I will say this, all my running and breaklights are led and they are great but the amount of light Im getting from my $28 dollar HID kit cant be beat. Mine was plug and play but I did add an on off switch.

I really dont like the look of the LED lamps and some of them stick out too far for my taste. Just my $.02

Just got my HID headlight kit together. 5 3/4" bullet housing, bi-bulb, AC ballast, integrated halo LED's (I have them switched as running lights), custom wire harness. Can't wait to put it in this weekend. I hope there's room for all this stuff under the seat...

Ballasts get hot, don't they? Is under the seat really a good place?
