I mean "under the seat" as in a general location, beneath the plane of the seat, where it cannot be visible, while maintaining adequate heat dissipation.

Where did you get that kit from? I have the same head light bucket as you do and i'm looking to upgrade.

by the way, love the Camaro. I"m trying to sell my 2010 SS to either upgrade to a used ZL1, Z28 or a house (whichever comes first) lolol

Thanks
I added an on/off switch so I can start the bike with the headlight off. Sometimes I forget and it starts fine anyway but it was recommended. A delay relay can also be used so that its automatic.

UPDATE...

Finally got around to installing the new headlight yesterday...well until I ran into an issue. Looking for some guidance from the electrical tech savvy HD community (my background is in Industrial Engineering, not electrical stuff lol)
Sooo, I modified the custom harness with a SPDT toggle switch to be able to fire the HID after I start the bike and also switch between the integrated LED's in the headlight housing. I stripped the bike down, mounted the light, ran the wiring, connected the factory H4 plug to the controller, wired the switch and connected necessary positive and negative terminals at the battery.

Here's where I encountered an issue. Turn bike power ON, I hear a relay click inside the 12V controller, I am able to switch the LED Halo's perfectly as planned, but when I flip the toggle switch to energize the HID circuit, I hear a short hum/buzz coming from the headlight (not the ballast) and the light does not fire....

I have a feeling the SPDT toggle switch (20A 12V) might be causing a voltage drop issue so I'm going to test it this evening by bypassing the switch. I may have the switch for the HID at the wrong part of the circuit. I think it should switch the signal to the controller, not the main power. Does anybody else have any suggestions what my issue may be???

Attached are a few pictures and a generic schematic i put together to help explain...

My toggle is on the main power to the H4 socket and works well. I have the new style of kit that doesn't require a hot to be run in to the kit and just runs off the H4 socket with a plug.

Can you reverse any of the plugs? Most of these systems have reversible plugs to switch from pos to neg polarity to match the factory wire harness. Just start flipping them trial and error until you get the right combination. I had to do this with mine to get it on and then to get the hi/low function to work properly. I think only a couple of the plugs will flip so it shouldn't take more than a few minutes and you cant hurt the bulb, ballast or controller doing this.

Im not an EE so I cant give in depth help, this is just something I encountered.

Thanks for the input! I wouldn't have gone with this style and do prefer yours, but it was a package deal.

I'm going to start by temporarily eliminating the switch to see if that's the issue, if so I'll switch the low beam power instead of the main power.
If the issue still persists, I'll start swapping the spade terminals in the H4 connector to see if the plug does not match the factory harness. More to come!!!

Look at your weather proof connectors (on every connection) and if they have a locking tab on both sides of the female housing that means the male is reversible and I would try messing with those first which will be the same thing as changing the H4 socket spades only way easier.
