I would try those for my passing lamps, Im not going to do an HID in those because Im too lazy to mount and run wire for the remote ballast after thinking about it.
Where did you get them and the male plug end for your harness. Also what 4.5 lamp are you using with those?

Are they cool white?
I got them HERE on Ebay. As you can see, they have the plug built into them. My passing lamps are 881 bulbs, Harley Aux Lamps 69287-07. I just removed the LARGE signal lights, and mounted bullet signal lights on the forks.
The headlamp LED bulb is built the same way. HERE is the Ebay listing for the one I got.
The passing lamps bulbs are a cool white, and the headlight bulb should be the same, as they use the same LED and are listed using the same color.
I am only concerned about heat. Leds do not like heat. However, my led bulbs on my other bike in signal and tail lamps, have been on there 3 years with no issues.
I will replace my HID lamps in both bikes with these LED's. My other bike, uses H7.

Does that bulb you bought for your headlight jut plug right in without doing anything else?
For those wondering about dissipating heat from the ballast... It gets HOT
I'm not sure if it's the camera angle, the way the bike is sitting, or maybe just the bucket is "out of aim", but that picture looks like the light is pointing a bit on the high side. Have you found that you need to aim the bucket down with that hid bulb in?

Haven't aligned it yet. Still have to finish installing and put the bike back together first
i ended up purchasing a hid kit from socalmotogear.com. super easy install. i was thinking of getting their led aux. lights but they didn't seem to look quite the same color. no big deal to most but it bothers me. so when the wife lets me out of the house for a while i've devised a way to relocate my turn signals to the forks and make them look nice. i think you guys might be impressed. i'll post pics and instructions when i'm done.

It is actually pretty easy. I made a couple of small brackets to mount them to my forks, and use the aux lights.
Actually I plan on reusing the oem turn signal brackets with a mount from drag specialties. It will mount them about the same height as the headlamp. Should look similar to the touring style.
