Hello and happy holidays to everyone. I changed from a harley windshield to a memphis shade and I have a 16oz bottle of harley bug remover left over. Does anyone know or has used this on a memphis shade. Memphis shades are made of Lucite acrylic. Thanks in advance and have a safe and happy New Year.
I can't speak of what you ask but I can give you a tip for the best bug cleaner ever! Soap and warm water! I'm not being a smart *** either. 1st, make your solution up then put an entire towel down in the warm soapy water, semi ring it out then just lay it flat over your windshield, any windshield and let it sit on there for 5 minutes or so and soak. It softens the bugs up then they just wipe right off without scratching your windshield. Just make sure your rag or towel is really wet when wiping so that you don't drag the bug and bug guts all over your windshield. That is what scratches your windshield. I know this isn't what you asked for but I have seen people buy all kinds of stuff for their windshields when the best there is, is sitting right under their kitchen sink. The key is letting the warm, wet and soapy towel sit on there long enough to get down to the bug guts before wiping it off.
I agree with the above. After a long late spring ride my windshield is caked with bugs. A wet soapy towel laid over the windshield while I chill with a beer does the trick. I also clean my windshield with lemon pledge it helps to keep the bugs from sticking so bad and it acts sort of like rain-x.
Fabric dryer sheet. Wet sheet with water and clean windshield. Wipe off white residue left behind. The stuff they use in the sheets takes bugs right off

I've used hot wet towels, bugslide and hydrogen peroxide...all of them work pretty well...never used a fabric dryer sheet, gonna have to give that a try.

I do the same thing, it does help the bugs from initially sticking so not as many to clean off, and smells good to, lol. I use the warm soapy water also, nothing better and doesn't cost you hardly anything.
I like to put rain x on first, maybe once a month. Then when it' get dirty Seems like the bugs come off much easier. I've always used a warm soapy towel too for bug removal
I use Sprayway glass cleaner on my HD windshield. I use to use lemon Pledge, but they changed their formula and it just smears. Sprayway is the best I have found and leaves the windshield crystal clear.
