I bought some a few weeks ago, and have sent them (and some other pieces off to the powder coater). Thx for the offer.

Talk to me.... I also suffer from low post count disorder.
I just bought a Sundowner rear seat only to try. I'm told there will be a gap a may not care for..... but my last bike had a suction cup seat so I'm already conditioned. Stock is ok for local use (says my GF) but I'm shooting for a blend of comfy but not fugly for longer rides etc.
I have a boat cushion that needs fixing so while there I'll ask about putting gel or a denser memory foam in the stock rear seat. The guy has a great rep amongst the local custom bike crowd. Will advise

Who said there's going to be a gap? cwazy wabbit...
My wife had quite a few complaints after the first ride on the Breakout; lasted all of about 20 minutes with her saying no way could she handle it. At that time I only had added the standard back rest. So I pretty much set out to try and make this work because I do like riding with my wife. This is what I came up with it might not be the prettiest but it works and she was comfortable. I used the Harley adjustable back rest; this allows her to lean back just a bit more than the standard which was a huge help because she felt like she was pushed on top of me with the old set up. Second her complaint was her legs we way too cramped and bent up so I found the peg relocation kit; not specced to work with Breakout but works fine on mine. The last thing was the seat and I found this one on ebay; I had to uncover the front and shave some foam away. Just took a ride this past weekend of about 2 hours stopping once in the middle and she was happy. Here is a pic of the set up and the part numbers are as follows.
Detachable Adjustable Backrest side Plates 53994-11
Sissy Bar 52540-09A
Pad 51642-06
Peg Relocation kit 50787-09
Seat 51812-09
Yep. Buy the QD assembly for the Harley Davidson one and just attach the "square tubed alternate bar to it. Make a spreader bar for the new assembly out of 2 x 4 so you don't loose control of it during mounting. These sissy bars are designed for 11" wide mounting and the BO is 13". You'll be dealing with a bit of springiness during the process and don't want to loose control of things and damage the paint on your rear fender.

What part number did you use for the QD. There are tons of them on the harley website. I like this set up. Looks sweet.
