Anyone care to post any pics (or just have recommendations/links) of sissy bars that are compatible for the Breakout? I'm getting ready to purchase a Breakout, and need some sort of detachable/quick release sissy bar- I would prefer something low, and not just the standard Harley bar.
Yeah, it looks like that Haulin *** product could work, loks like the Deuce pad.
There is a thread on here where some guy used a Deuce sissy bar/pad on his Breakout. However, I think it would have to be a fixed backrest as opposed to detach. But as low slung as it is, I think it looks pretty slick.
The way the Deuce bracket is attached to the fender lends itself to making most any backrest work. You might consider fabricating a fixed bracket to the bottom of the passenger seat. Then your backrest would be totally removable with a quick 2 up seat to solo seat change. I would have done this on the Deuce but the bracket was already in place when bought it. I find it easy and quick to change from the touring sun downer for the wife and back to the slimmer seat for solo. However the wife rarely rides on this one she prefers the comfort of the Vulcan Voyager.
I bought the stock one,I only put it on for long rides, and I dont leave the attach hardware on the bike.serves its purpose i guess
Asputin:
That looks like the Sundownder passenger seat, no? Are you also running that with the Sundowner driver seat, or are you using that with the stock seat (not sure if that's possible or not)?

And one other question- That's the quick-disconnect mounts, correct? I was wondering what the bolts look like when you take the mounts off- Is there then some sort of longer bolts sticking out of the fender struts (where the backrest mounts must attach onto)?

Oh so that is not the one for the Breakout... I wonder if its the same width and height as the BO one, my wife saw the pic of yours and said "oh my butt feels better just LOOKING at that padded seat!" lol
