Mine washes off nicely with a rag and dishsoap. I just put dustless pads on, though. Hopefully that puts an end to the dust.

Get yourself a couple of sets of Lyndall pads. No dust, they stop better than the stockers and no more metallic grinding sound when you hit the brakes. You can install them your self in about an hour, it's really easy.

Those are the ones I just bought. Haven't had a chance to put them through the paces, though. How long have you been using them? The reason I ask is because they are supposed to last longer as well. Just wondering if you find that to be the case.

Just put them on about 200mi ago. They work awsome, I used to have to use the rear brake alot now I don't have to use it at all. Your gonna love 'em. I'd use them even if they lasted 1/2 as long as the stock ones. By the way, nice work on your ride. I saw it when you posted it up after all the mods forgot to post on your work. You can get them at cyclespot.com for $35.00 a set.

I put LRB Z+ pads on my Night Train, and they made a BIG difference in the braking feel. Plus they don't create very much dust (if any at all!), and they are great in all conditions.

Cheers!

you might try a brake dust remover made by Eagle One, its good! They make some for aluminum and chrome wheels. After cleaning the dust off you can try Mothers aluminum cleaner, both of these work well. I use the Eagle One on my harleys chrome wheels (smooth laced) Deluxe wheels, and my trucks chrome wheels, the Eagle One aluminum dust remover and Mothers aluminum cleaner I use on my wifes TL Acura. Hope this helps you.
