Pipes, Loud & Short-Any Recommendations?
I've got a 98 FLSTC and looking for a set of pipes. The shorter and louder the better, although I am running the stock 80" and don't want to burn up the top end.I also don't want to pay out the @#$, anyidea's?

My buddy is running Hooker Trouble Makers with no baffles and they are loud as hell. Although his pipe coming from the rear cylinder is starting to yellow VERY badly. I am running the same pipe except they have the different end cut on them and still have the baffles.....plenty loud for me and I like loud. Mine are also starting to yellow a very slight amount.

I JUST INSTALLED THE V&H SHORT SHOTS ON MY FAT BOY. I REALLY LIKE THE LOOK OF THEM ON FATBOY'S IT KIND OF ADDS TO THE CHUNKY LOOK OF THE BIKE. THEY SOUND GREAT AT IDLE AND AREN'T AS LOUD AS i THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE WHEN I TWIST THE GRIP,BUT THEY ARE STILL LOUD ENOUGH FOR ME. (ALMOST)

Chopperhammer666..you aren't having any back pressure issues, or should I saw the lack of back pressure issues? How long have you been running? I was told these pipes as well as other this short give little to no back pressure, and if your one who actually puts some miles on your bike, which I am one of the few that do, they will burn up your top-end.

Had Vance and Hines Short shots on my Dyna..looked good, great quality and plenty loud at idle and cranked. Down side is they seemed a bit "raspy" in sound.

I put V&H staggered short shots on my 2004 FXSTI and ordered them with the loud baffles. They are loud as hell and I had to put cotton in my right ear to keep from getting a headache on long rides. My ears are screwed up now so I no longer need the cotton.
