Default Need help fixing Hubby's bike

DH had a bike wreck a few weeks ago coming home from work. I won't go into alot of the details other than he ran into the back of a utility trailer with no lights that was stopped. He was thrown from the bike and it slide a ways on the left side. He's got several months of recovery ahead of him but he'll be OK. Right now he's not interested in the bike at all so it's up to me to see that it gets fixed. I'm gonna need your help!

His bike is a 2003 Softail Standard that's had quite a bit of custom work done to it. Other than grips, levers and left foot controls, biggest damage is to the front end and front wheel. I finally got the insurance estimate and I want to look up the HD parts they listed. I can find the grips, pegs, etc. but I'm having a hard time with the front end. HD's website is useless. So is the catalog. I've tried looking up the part numbers given on Ronnie's Parts Finder but didn't find a single one, either by name or number. Is there some secret to finding this HD stuff?

The bike had a Paughgo springer front end, which I found in Drag Specialties catalog. On the estimate they list HD Rigid Fork Assy #4556900. I just want to see what it looks like before we decide what we want to use, especially since there's about $300 difference in what's allowed and the price of the Paughgo. I want to keep the old school look of the bike, that's where I need your suggestions.

Thanks!

Sorry but this is the best shot I have of the front end.

P/N 45569-00 is a springer softail front-end: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photo...gerSoftail.htm

By the way, I think you mean Paughco: http://www.paughco.com/. Sold by many outlets.

Damn, sorry to hear about the accident but glad he is doing ok with recovery and that it wasn't any worse than it was. I'm right down the road from you in Baytown, if you need help with any of the work I have a garage full of tools.

Thanks Daddy-O...that's what I was looking for.

Killer....thanks for the offer of the tools but we've got City Line Cycles in Deer Park doing the repairs. Nice to meet a neighbor!
